Treadmill desk research ideas

Dr. Amy Bowersock dropped by the Playground recently and had several ideas for building research around the treadmill desk:

  • Brain activity during simultaneous tasks–cognitive plus physical activity
  • Processing repetitive, monotonous tasks
  • Eye-tracking while on treadmill (reading, tasks exercises)
  • Cog/Com displacement on tasks at walking speed

We thought a study on students’ comprehension and retention of material while walking on the treadmill would be interesting also.
