in two of our courses for Elementary Education, Literacy Assessment and Instruction and Intermediate Math, we are utilizing iPads for that exact purpose. We have been studying how technology can mediate some difficulties for the kiddos we serve in the RMC. We’ve just wrapped up our exploratory research and can now focus more specific research questions after a three semester investigation. Initial findings show technology has much potential of support in the writing process, reading fluency, mathematical problem solving and fraction computation. Some exciting stuff!! Time to write some more IRBs!
